Currently the court is accepting applications for the following positions:

(08-30) Probation Clerk - Full time Temporary Indefinite - Houston

Supports the professional staff, answers and directs telephone calls; formats, types and edits documents; maintains files. Answers general inquiries from visitors, screens incoming mail and handles routine matters as authorized; routes mail to appropriate destination.

(09-04) Assistant Systems Manager - Houston

The Assistant System Manager reports directly to the Director of Information Technology and will work closely with Judges, Clerk of Court, Chief Probation Officer and Chief Pretrial Services Officer in implementing technology solutions for the District.

(09-03) Automation Product Tester/Quality Assurance Specialist - Houston

The Product Tester/Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the completion of the entire testing process for locally developed applications.

(09-01) Automation Specialist/Technical Writer - Houston

Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation related to development and support of locally developed applications; maintain an application support website, as well as write and maintain development project documentation; provide assistance in the installation and support of the court’s applications.

(08-35) Automation Support Specialist - Houston

The Automation Support Specialist provides specialized and routine user support services, including user training and computer problem resolution. Assists in defining and implementing automation training plans. Serves as central point of information and assistance for court automation users.

(08-34) Judicial Support Specialist (Candidate) - Laredo

This is a developmental program designed for individuals interested in a career opportunity with the federal judiciary that would lead to attaining the certification of Judicial Support Specialist upon successfully completing the program. Candidates will be trained in all operational areas of the court, including Docketing, Intake, Electronic Court Reporting and Jury.

(07-42) Data Quality Analyst - Houston

The data quality analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, management and proficient use of the Probation and Pretrial Automated Case Tracking System.

(05-23) English/Spanish Court Interpreter - Laredo

Certification from the Administrative Office of the US Courts written & oral examinatioins, 4 years interpreting experience, ability to interpret in consecutive, simultaneous & summary modes, ability to deal professionally with educated & uneducated persons in the courtroom, remaining impartial in all cases.
